Hello! I’m Kent Willmeth, a Life Scout with the Boy Scouts Troop 71 in Seneca, Kansas. I am very excited because my Eagle Scout project has been approved! I am going to produce a documentary movie for the Pony Express Museum in Seneca about the history of the Pony Express in Seneca. This documentary will be viewed in the audio/visual section of the newly renovated museum.
Linda Honeyman with Seneca Downtown Impact, Jim Copeland with SCTV and Mary Jane Fleming with The Pony Express Museum have agreed to help me with my Eagle Scout project. They will provide promotional, historical and technical guidance.
Check back to this site often. I will be updating it as I finish different milestones of my project.

June Update - I've been working really hard on the script for my documentary. I found a lot of information about the Pony Express riders on the internet. There wasn't much on the internet about Seneca's history. So, I met with Mary Jane Fleming, toured the Pony Express Museum and the Nemaha County Historical Museum and got some great information on the Seneca history. Jim Copeland filmed the Pony Express Re-Ride for me on June 22. I was on a Boy Scout trip to the Boundary Waters. Thanks, Jim! I can't wait to start putting the video together.
July Update – The grant was awarded to The Pony Express Museum for the podcast! I have finished the narrator script. Mary Jane is reviewing it for me. Now I am working on the director script. Soon I will start filming and putting the documentary all together.
August Update - Mary Jane Fleming approved my script. I finished the directors script and Jim Copeland and I met to review it and begin making a plan for filming. Together we came up with a great idea that involves 1st person and 3rd person narration. Similar to a History Channel style documentary. Rodney Rilinger, a Pony Express re-rider and a senior at my high school, has agreed to be our re-rider and 1st person voice. Cory Bass, a teacher at Nemaha Valley Elementary and Middle School as agreed to be the 3rd person voice.
