We invite you to walk down Main Street in Seneca and experience the history of a small town on the Pony Express Trail. Learn how an ambitious trail town like Seneca grew up in the Wild Wild West. Seneca became a Kansas Main Street city in 2007 and continues to revitalize the buildings and the businesses through the guidance and training from the Kansas Department of Commerce.

The Seneca Main Street Historical Walking Tour was made possible with a grant from the Kansas Humanities Council, a nonprofit cultural organization promoting understanding of the history, traditions, and ideas that shape our lives and build community.
