Our Mission:  To preserve Seneca Community's Historical, Cultural and Quality of Life through the Revitalization and Economic Viability of our Main Street.

The greatest opportunity you’ll enjoy as a Friend of Seneca Downtown Impact is knowing that you are an integral part of the important work that is just getting started on Main Street.  Seneca is Main Street City with the Kansas Department of Commerce. Through their guidance based on the Main Street Four-Point Approach, Organization, Promotion, Economic Restructuring and Design, you will see local revitalization efforts through our first five years. We’re a city on the move....come join the fun!

JOBS Grant - SDI is now expanding its efforts to help businesses outside the Main Street district.  In conjunction with The First National Bank of Seneca, Linda Honeyman, former SDI Executive Director, applied for a Joint Opportunity for Success (JOBS) grant through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka.  SDI is happy to announce that we were awarded this $25,000 grant.  The money will be used as a revolving fund at 0% interest and will be administered through the First National Bank of Seneca and SDI.  Administration guidelines for the use of these funds will be similar to the IWW guidelines.  The SDI board is in the process of developing guidelines.  More information will be available soon.
