Seneca Downtown Impact - 2013 Vision

Downtown Seneca is known for its high quality restoration of historic buildings and well lighted tree lined streets. The friendly family atmosphere has made downtown the gathering center for the community, but also attracts neighboring town’s people, history lovers and other visitors. Activities such as family fun festivals, the theater, performing arts center, expanded shopping hours and social events keep the citizenry, regardless of age, connected to the downtown district.

The buildings are fully utilized, including retail businesses providing staples for residents, businesses that serve as social gathering spaces, upper floor residential bed and breakfast accommodations and quality restaurants on a par with those you would find in a larger more metropolitan area. Businesses study market trends and use the information to determine product lines and to encourage entrepreneurs to develop new businesses and services. Due to the business growth in the district, new jobs have been created and the tax base has increased. The central business district also offers a variety of entertainment opportunities designed to satisfy everyone from the arts connoisseurs to offering a performance venue for local groups and youth.
